The Parks and Community Services Department is responsible for the operation of an aquatics complex, softball facility, and nine (9) existing parks within the City of Colusa, as well as organizing various city-wide recreational activities that are offered on a year-around basis to city and county residents.

For Park Maintenance issues (530) 458-2215 EMPLOYMENT/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Colusa Parks and Community Services have various employment and volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. If you are interested in employment working with children apply for one of our Recreation Leader positions. If you enjoy athletics and would like to be a sports official or scorekeeper, we may have openings as well. We are continuously looking for those interested in teaching special interest classes. Your specialty may be of interest to others!! During the summer months, there are opportunities for lifeguards and swim instructors to work at the Colusa Pool. Applications are welcome at anytime and will be kept on file pending openings for six months. Come into the Parks and Community Services office at 425 Webster Street for an application.

Volunteers are always needed in our Youth Sports Programs to assist with coaching teams. Additionally, we welcome those interested in volunteering in an office setting to apply to assist with filing, answering phones, minor typing, etc. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Parks and Community Services Department at (530) 458-5622 and see what is currently available.
