Typical Duties of a Firefighter: Colusa Firefighters have a multitude of duties to perform on a
daily basis. These duties include maintenance of the station, apparatus
and equipment. Equipment on each apparatus is checked daily to make sure it is functioning
properly. When an emergency call is received,
the firefighter must be ready at a moments notice to stop whatever he/she
is doing and respond. Ask any firefighter why they do this job and
they’ll agree, because they LOVE it!
